The Naked Dress

If you are a big Sex and the City fan like me, then you’ll surely remember Carrie’s infamous ‘naked dress’ which she wore on her first date with Mr. Big. Well, Carrie’s little ‘naked dress’ move over, because Kristen Stewart’s very own naked dress has arrived!
Nude dresses are no novelty, they’ve been in style for a little while (even I’ve worn one, which you can see here). However, the young start wore a very daring, very nude and very sheer, Zuhair Murad dress last night to the premiere of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Hollywood. Now, probably very nude and very sheer is a combination you wouldn’t think to wear, other than in the bedroom, but that’s fashion for you, just when you think something is off limits, all of the sudden it isn’t!
I still haven’t decided if I think this dress is the sexiest dress ever or simply the tackiest, when it comes to fashion (and also life!) I like to keep an open mind and really give new ideas a chance before dismissing them… But what do you think? Did she take it too far with this little number? I’m really curious to read what’s your take on this dress!

Look of the Day: Happy Weekend

I wore this look last night, and couldn’t wait to share it with you. It got suddenly very very cold here in Phoenix this weekend, which I was actually glad about because it presented the perfect opportunity to wear this outfit. When I first saw this dress, I immediately envisioned it worn with black turtleneck and tights. I added a little sparkle with some faux diamonds and silver metallic nails (that I’m absolutely obsessed with!), and I got a winner.

I’m keeping this post very short, so both you and I can go back to enjoying our Sunday.

Wishing you darlings a lovely one!!

Look of the Day: Cowboy-ish

So, when you think of a leather+denim combo, I’m sure John Wayne comes to mind, but you might be surprised to realize you can also achieve a more sophisticated look using that exact same combo. Here I present you my results experimenting with it, and I am really happy with how the whole outfit came out.

By the way, this leather skirt is one of the items I had been dying to show you (as I had previously mentioned on this post), and finally I get a chance to do it now that the weather is allowing. I had been dreaming about owning a leather skirt for years (literally!), but usually they come in the form of pencil skirts which are not really flattering on me. Then, last year I bought a faux leather version similar to this one at H&M, but after trying it a few times, decided to return it as it had some pleats that also weren’t very flattering on me. So I was beyond ecstatic to find this gem at bebe a couple of months ago. I am completely in love with it and already have a million outfits planned for it, I’ll probably live in it this winter.

What do you think about a leather+denim combo? Would you wear it? Are you planning to wear any leather items this season? Please share!

Wishing you a lovely weekend darlings :)
