Ladies and gentlemen, summer has arrived. I know according to the calendar, summer officially begins on June 21st, but in Arizona it is here now. We are already in the triple digit temperatures, and those would last way longer than it’s bearable. Despite having grown up and lived most of my life in the desert, it seems like every year my tolerance to the grueling heat is significantly diminished.
With that said, you could easily imagine my excitement over the wonderful news I’m about to share with you today. An opportunity came up to spend the summer, or at least part of it, in Vancouver, Canada, and of course I jumped all over it!
So as of July 13th, I’ll be spending 7 weeks in this lovely city. I’ve actually never been to Canada, and I’ve heard so many amazing things about Vancouver and surroundings that I am just over the moon about this unexpected turn of events. Besides my good friend and fellow blogger Norma from lapir0.com lives there, so that just adds to the excitement of it all.
Of course, I’ll keep you posted about all my Canadian adventures as I’ll continue to happily blog from my new summer location. I just can’t wait!

Damas y caballeros, el verano ha llegado. Sé que según el calendario, el verano oficialmente comienza el 21 de junio, pero en Arizona ya está aquí. La temperatura ya ha llegado a los 40 grados, y asi seguirá por más tiempo del que es soportable. A pesar de que crecí y he vivido la mayor parte de mi vida en el desierto, parece que cada año mi tolerancia a este agotador calor se ve significativamente disminuida.
Con eso dicho, les será más fácil imaginarse mi emoción respecto a la maravillosa noticia que quiero compartirles hoy. Se presentó una oportunidad para pasar el verano, o al menos parte de él, en Vancouver, Canada, y por supuesto yo me le eché encima!
Así que a partir del 13 de julio, estaré pasando 7 semanas en esta preciosa ciudad. El hecho de que nunca he visitado Canada y de que he escuchado las mejores reseñas sobre Vancouver hacen que me sienta soñada con este inesperado giro de acontecimientos. Además mi buena amiga y colega bloguera Norma de lapir0.com vive allá, asi que más emoción todavía.
Por supuesto, los mantendré al tanto de todas mis aventuras canadienses a medida que continuaré blogueando felizmente desde mi nueva ubicación de verano. Simplemente no puedo esperar!
